Smart Device Access

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Users

To access the Safety Made Simple online safety training on any smart tablet or phone, just use your browser.  No app is required.  Instructions for adding an icon to your device are at the end of this document.  To start, type the following into the browser on your device:

https://yourcompany.safetymadesimple.com

You will be presented with a login screen to enter your login information.  Contact your Administrator if you have not received your username and password.

After successfully logging in, your personal Dashboardwillbedisplayed.

Your Dashboard will display courses you are enrolled for as well as a count of your Enrolled Courses and Completed Courses.  Scroll down to see all courses on your dashboard.

The Primary Navigation menu is located in the upper left corner and when clicked will display a menu similar to the one on the left.  

Note:  If you have been set up with a Manager or Admin role, you will have additional options on your Dashboard. 

Individuals with a Learner role will see the fewest options.

Playing a course is best done in Landscape mode on your smart device.  Please note that the navigational arrows to advance or go back a slide are displayed in the right column in landscape mode.

Adding an Icon to your Apple Device

To add an icon for Safety Made Simple to the home screen of your Apple tablet or phone, navigate to your company training portal.

When you're on the page you want to create a shortcut to, just tap on the bookmark icon.  The location can be different on your screen dependent on what version of iOS you have.

When the bookmark options appear, tap on 'Add to home screen'.  Enter a name for the shortcut and tap on the 'Add' button to add to your iPhone's home screen. The icon can then be moved as you would any app.

Adding an Icon to your Android Device

To add an icon for Safety Made Simple to the home screen of your Android tablet or phone, follow the steps below.

Launch Chrome for Android and open to your company training portal or web page you wish to pin to your home screen. Tap the menu button and tap Add to Home Screen. Enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.  The icon can then be moved as you would any app.
